Perspectives In Motion is dedicated to our evolving perspectives, and to their exploration and expression through the body, movement and the arts. Perspectives In Motion was originally established in New York City in 1988 by its Artistic Director, Ann Moradian, as a contemporary dance company and has since expanded its focus and interests to include explorations in education, collaboration and exchange.

Ann Moradian is a movement artist, creator, director and teacher who has "a deep respect for dance tradition and at the same delves courageously into the experimental."* Her work reflects the influence of her studies with Eric Beeler (yoga), Finis Jhung (ballet), Jim May* (Humphrey/ Limon/ Sokolow), Nguyen Thanh Thien (martial arts), Maria Abrams (tai chi), and the Gallatin program at New York University. Raised in Colorado, she moved to New York in 1981 where she worked with artists such as Manuel Alum and Anna Sokolow, and founded Perspectives In Motion, performing at venues including Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Dia Center for the Arts. She moved to India in 1996 where Perspectives In Motion performed in venues such as Mumbai's Tata Theatre at the National Center for the Performing Arts and the Birla Auditorium in Calcutta. She has taught for over 30 years. Living in Paris since 2002, she is currently developing a movement theatre work in collaboration with visual artist Nannette Bertschy.
